ZeroTag Workshop
While many brands have shifted their focus onto creating products in more sustainable ways, packaging waste remains a huge problem. This workshop will explore the complexities surrounding sustainable packaging, as well as looking at exciting new developments changing the way we think about packaging.

According to Sustainability Victoria, Australians throw away 1.9 million tonnes of packaging annually. Most of this goes to landfill or incineration, contributing to climate change. Despite the best intentions of recyclable packaging, only about half of Australia’s recyclable packaging actually gets recycled each year.
Refuse Design Lab aims to eliminate single-use packaging in the food and beverage industry through devising new materials, like a bioplastic made from bacterial fermentation for the wine industry.
In this intimate and interactive free workshop, Refuse Design Lab will untangle some of the grey areas in the sustainable packaging space, as well as shining a light on cutting-edge innovations. You’ll have the chance to demo ZeroTag, their new technology ecosystem that makes refillable packaging fun, useful and convenient.
It’s a must-attend event for small business owners, retail brands seeking an out-of-the-box team building exercise and any Melbourne makers interested in design and sustainability. Places are extremely limited.
