As a global population, we currently use 1.6 times more natural resources than the earth can renew each year. The fashion industry accounts for much of this destruction and poses problems at each step of the supply chain, from the way in which our clothing is produced to what happens after it leaves our wardrobes. Yet with this environmental toll comes an opportunity to embrace a new mode of thinking, making, creating and consuming.
Raw To A T rewrites fashion’s rules to lay the foundation for a future that is circular, positively impactful and anchored in affirmative change. Embracing radically sustainable solutions and disruptive ideas, Raw To A T brings together thought leaders from the fashion and textile sectors to promote a new version of luxury that considers people and the planet.
There will be thought-provoking panels featuring internationally recognised speakers from Liberty London and Lenzing Tencel Luxe (as part of the Red Carpet Green Dress awards). MycoWorks will be joining live from New York to introduce Reishi™️, a luxury material made from Fine Mycelium™️ being used by Hermès; wander through creative and immersive pods exhibiting textile and technology suppliers that are paving a new path in sustainability such as FibreTrace®️ leaders in traceable fibre technology, or Pangaia designing an earth-positive future, together MTK Knitters. Plus there's interactive experiences pondering the future of materiality, curated showcases featuring cutting edge sustainable products, workshops and networking nights.
